INFIELD CAMP – GET READY FOR YOUR HIGH SCHOOL TRYOUT

If you can’t play catch, you can’t win! Train to throw the ball accurately using good mechanics.  This camp will run for 5 weeks, 2 hours per night on 5 consecutive Monday evenings.

Dates: Monday January 2oth, 27th, February 3rd, 10th and 17th

Cost: $200.00 when paid in advance or $50 per session for walk ups  CLASS IS LIMITED TO 20 PLAYERS

Time: 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.

Improve your fielding percentage with this complete breakdown of infield mechanics.  Players will need to bring a glove. Classes will include:

• Correctly field a ground ball with proper glove work and coming thru the ball
• Learn how to “get around” a ground ball
• Correctly field a backhand and a forehand with proper footwork and throwing mechanics
  
• Correctly turn double plays from any position on the diamond
  
• Learn correct Bunt defense
  
• How to properly receive and correct footwork for catchers throw downs to 1st, 2nd and 3rd
  
• Correct way “do or die throw” from the infield
• Situational play
• Correct transfer of the ball from cut offs
  
• Communication drills
• How to create the correct angle on run downs to limit cross fire
• Drills and repetition
